Cow Creamer Designs
79A cow creamer is a small jug or pitcher for cream shaped as a cow. In fact, the first creamer that was made was a silver cow creamer. They were imported from Holland during the 18th century. Through the years, the design of cow creamers evolved and changed as people incorporated their bright ideas to it. One of the most popular designs today is the cow creamer. The tail of the cow is usually looped in to form as the handle of the jug. However, there are other designs wherein this is not the case.
The patterns in cow creamers vary in color and style. It depends on the imagination and creativeness of the maker. These days, cow creamers usually come in pair with sugar pots. They take on the modern variations theme, they are both intricately designed that they can go separately and they would still be interesting. Here are some of the famous sugar and creamer sets that are out in the market.
The little hot pepper pair was designed in Indonesia. They are white cow creamers that have blue bandannas wrapped around their necks. Pieces of red, hot, chili peppers also adorn these cows. One set is made out of egg tokes and they are called the hatching pair. There is a large cow creamer that is designed to look like the cow is howling at the moon. It rather looks like the Desert Doodads ‘Cow-yote’ creamer design.
The three-piece sugar and creamer design uses the cows’ head as lids. It is rather very creative and very nice to look at. It also comes with salt and pepper containers as well as a little green cow face plate. They chubby Holsteins design are from the Swiss Cow Collection of Cotfer Geneva. They are two fat spotted cows; the male is adorned with a cross and the female has a bell on her neck. The creators of these cows are conceptual innovators in the souvenir industry. They strive to keep their high quality in both their products and their customer service.
The next pair is called the New Marco Polo. They are angry-looking cows and they were made in China. Another unique design of cow creamer is the black and white pair that pours out the creamer through their ears. It is a strange idea but is remarkable as well. The cow creamer from Taylor and Ng of Japan are a pair of artsy-looking, black and white cows that were created in 1986. The website notes that they have been in the industry for twenty years now. Their designs are inspired by the idea of ‘far eastern concepts brought to western home’.
The next design is a pair of white cow creamer that was created in Mexico. They are encrypted with the words ‘STA MA’ around their crowns. A most impressive cow creamer design is the ‘Nattily-dressed’ couple from Applause. The male is wearing a white dinner jacket and the female cow is adorned in a long, pink and lacey dress. The couple looks adorable and very neat. It’s such a wonderful thing to look at.
The next pair of cow creamers is colored blue and they have flower garlands around their necks. They also have a stamp indicating that they were made in Japan. I would have to say kudos to the makers of the next pair. The cows are both painted black; the cow sugar pot has a large golden fly on its back and looks like it is sleeping while the creamer appears to howling like it’s trying to wake up her mate. This pair is made in Japan.
There are a lot more other designs of cow creamers available in the market. They all have intricate patterns and creative designs. Some of them are so cute and adorable that I wouldn’t think of using them as creamers. They are merely for decoration or display purposes. The innovation of cow creamers is another indication that people are indeed artistic and imaginative individuals.

Thanks man. I also remember seeing one of these every time I went to my grandmother's house as a kid. Haven't seen one since until now.
My grandmother had a cow creamer and we all loved it. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane!
